SMF Type 49 Record

This table shows the record layout for type 49 SMF records
(JES3 Integrity).

List of other SMF record layouts available.
List of sample SMF reports.

Purpose: Record type 49 is written when a system network architecture (SNA) remote user attempts to log on with an incorrect password or a binary synchronous communication (BSC) remote line user attempts to sign on with an incorrect password.

For SNA, the record contains a record indicator, a work station name, a logical unit (LU) name, and an incorrect password. For BSC, the record contains a record indicator, a remote name, a line name, an incorrect password, and, for a remote sign on, a message text.

It's easy to report on SMF 49 data!
