SMF Type 43 Record
This table shows the record layout for type 43 SMF records

Record length. This field and the next field (total of four bytes) form the RDW (record descriptor word). See “Standard SMF Record Header” on page 13-1 for a detailed description.

System indicator: Bit Meaning When Set 0-2 Reserved 3-6 Version indicators* 7 Reserved.*See “Standard SMF Record Header” on page 13-1 for a detailed description.
Record type 43 (X'2B').
Time since midnight, in hundredths of second, that the record moved into the SMF buffer.
Date when record was moved into SMF buffer, in the form 0cyydddF. See “Standard SMF Record Header” on page 13-1 for a detailed description.
System identification (from the SID parameter).
Subsystem identification — X'0005' signifies JES3.
Length of rest of record, excluding this field.
JES3 start record indicator (taken from operator’s response to WTOR macro) Bit Meaning When Set 0 Cold start 1 Warm start 2 Hot start 3 Start is with JES3 queue analysis 4 JES3 global processor. This bit is always set if start is a cold start or warm start. 5 JES3 local processor. This bit is always set if start is a hot start. 6 Reserved 7 Dynamic system interchange (DSI) was invoked by operator to convert a local processor to the global processor. Bits 2 and 4 will also be set.
